Oh my!! Do my ears deceive me? What's that you say? She is letting Thing 2 come to the party, AND dropping her off here???
You have got to be kidding me...
Wonders never cease...Oh happy day!

Birthday parties...
Kinda hacked off today...well, not just today. It actually started off a few days ago, and no I have not really been hacked off this whole time. It kinda comes and goes. You see, today is Thing 3's birthday, he turned 4 today.
Well, remember I said that Thing 2 was not actually mine, as in, I did not give birth to her...well, we have custody...but strange visitation with her "mother" but that is another post all together. Back to the story...we are having Thing 3's birthday party this next weekend so all of his friends can attend but Thing 2 is supposed to be at her mother's. She asked her mother if she could come over for the afternoon for the party and s*$# hit the fan. She proceeded to make Thing 2 feel bad just because she wanted to come to her little brother's birthday party. She told her she guessed we expected her to just miss out on one of her days...what??? Every freakin time she asks us for anything, we let her...just a few weeks ago, we let her go a day and a half early with her mother to make sure she could go to the mother's grand-daughter's birthday party. No questions questions asked. That is just the way we are...heh...yay for us, always being nice, always getting screwed over. Story of my life.
Yea, so that is why I am hacked off today.

Welcome
Welcome and thanks for stopping by. I started blogging about a year ago to have a place to tell funny stories and post cute pictures of my kids. I was so excited to tell all of my family and friends about my blog and they were all so happy to have access to our lives whenever they wanted to catch up.
I know, it all sounds so sweet. And that was the problem. I had all of my family and friends reading my private (or not so private) thoughts. It became about telling things they would want to hear about and being careful what I said. Which is fine, most of the time, but...come on, a girl's gotta have a place to let it all hang out, right?
So, this little blog is the brainchild of my wanting a place for brutal honesty. It isn't always pretty, but it is life, right?
Don't get me wrong...I am a very happy person and have a wonderful life, a fantastic family and awesome friends...most of the time!
So, about that...I am happily married (all of the time) to my wonderful husband, let's see...we'll call him Just him, and mother to 4 wonderful children ages 11, 11, 4 and 8 months, and no the two 11 year olds are not twins. That could be one of my first posts...I have only given birth to 3 of the wonderful children. The kids...humm, lets call them Things 1 thru 4, starting with the oldest as Thing 1.
There are 3 boys and 1 girl. The girl would be Thing 2. So, are you paying attention? Thing 1-boy age 11, Thing 2-girl age 11, Thing 3-boy age 4, Thing 4-boy age 8 months. Got it? Need more confusion? The oldest, Thing 1, is mine from a previous marriage. Thing 2, is his from a previous marriage, Things 3 and 4 are ours. We are currently discussing an addition to the family, (hopefully) soon to be known as Thing 5.
Everyone up to speed on the basics? Ready to move on?
See, that is partly why I need a place to come. Somewhere away from family so I can be honest about what it is like raising a blended family, who was rotten today, which ex pissed us off today...you know, things that might not go over so well with your loved ones.
I must admit, I am really excited about this little project here. I just hope after all of this openness and honesty, I will still want to go write at the family blog. This might be too much fun! Of course, I am sure you can understand, I will be unable to post any pictures up here, that is the not so fun part of all this honesty. :(
